CTA holiday train 2015
It's that time of year! The holidays are upon us and our traditions continue. This is one of the favorites. Let's ride the holiday train!

sugar and ... more sugar
Instead of gingerbread houses, which are just too labor intensive for me, we opted to decorate Christmas trees/sugar cones instead. Sugar highs ensued.
The table is set. Frosting, frosting, frosting, candy, marshmallows, cone.
E really wanted those M&Ms.
We invited a friend from school to join in the fun with us. Good work, guys!
E's turned out nicely too. Sadly (for them), we did not let them eat their creations.
...but that didn't stop M from digging in by the spoonful! My goodness!

a trip to see santa
We hopped on the train and met daddy downtown to visit Santa today. Sadly, he hadn't arrived at the place I originally intended, but thankfully, Santa has a lot of helpers. We ended up having more fun, and staying warmer, at our alternate place. You can't go wrong with Macy's!

Then we were off to wait our turn to see the big man, himself. Both the boys were pretty excited while in line, but when it came time, E preferred to hang back with me. M told him what E wanted him to bring, so no harm done. Maybe next year.
