movember is mOver!

ok, ok dumb joke, but I couldn't resist.

On the last day of Movember, Andrew looked like this...hairy.

This final daily progression shows how the 'stache came to be...

all gone!  wah, wah... Doesn't he look so sad? Or maybe this is his mugshot face. You decide.

& to add insult to injury, he cut his lip while shaving off that beast. He then informed me that he is never shaving his lip again.  What!?

All in all, Movember was a huge success. He was definitely successful in generating buzz and awareness for the cause and had fun while doing it. I'm sure he'll be participating next year too. Hey, who's with me for Wovember?

The month is winding down but it can't end without a birthday celebration thrown in.

Movember madness is spreading throughout the entire house. Now, E is in on it! 

Ok, it's me. I just can't resist putting mustaches on these little faces! I promise this will be the last...maybe.

Nine days left in Movember now...but who's counting? Check out Andrew's progress. The only question now is which style of mustache he will torture me with until he shaves it all the way off.

This picture of M really threw him for a loop. Upon seeing it, he touched his lip and told me that yes, he COULD feel the hair on his face. Yep, he was definitely growing a mustache. Time to shave...

Have you been wondering about Andrew's Movember progress? No? Well, here it is anyway...

Fifteen days in and the 'stache is as gross as I imagined it would be. Andrew was happy to remind me that it will be twice as bad before it's all over with.  Yeah...

Let me also say that Andrew is not as angry as these pictures make it look. I suppose it's just one more way this mustache changing the face of my husband.

mustache season

If you haven't already heard about it, Movember is a nationwide movement for men's health. Teams are created and hair is grown on the upper lips of men everywhere to raise money to "support prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives". Along with all that good stuff, it's a sanctioned way for men to drive their girlfriends, wives, and significant others...crazy!

So, as you might have already guessed, Andrew is participating in this year's Movember. He is on Team El Cookie Dusters in support of a friend's father who is currently battling the same cancer that took my Gracie almost 3 years ago. Check out Andrew's Mo Space page to donate to a good cause.

Here's his progress so far. In 9 short days, it appears my husband has morphed into Anchorman Ron Burgundy...yes? I've been told I can't complain until December 1. I do not agree.
