the land of why
While playing with cars that are stored in new paint cans, this conversation between M and Grandma B took place.
B: M, you really shouldn't try to put your head in the paint can.
M: Why?
B: ...because it might get stuck.
M: Why?
B: Well, the opening on the can is probably smaller than your head because you have a big head. (good try, BTW to preempt the next "Why")
M: Why?
B: ...because you are just so smart.
M: Yep, that's Morgan!
Ok, no lack of self-confidence here!

The Land of Why
A lot of our good conversations start in the car...
M: Mommy, follow that bus!
Mommy: Ok, but we might not be able to keep up.
M: Why?
Mommy: ...because he's already really far ahead of us.
M: Why?
Mommy: ...because he's going much faster than us.
M: Why?
Mommy: Well, I don't know why.
M: Why don't you know why?
I think I might be in trouble here...

The Land of Why
Lately, this has become M's most asked question. In honor of that, and so I don't forget some of the unusual conversations we've been having, I'm going to start a regular post entitled, The Land of Why. You may not find these as amusing as I do, but maybe you will, so I'm going to share. Enjoy.
M recently got an egg that when placed in water, "hatches" a dinosaur (thanks, Grandma!). The egg started to crack this morning...
Mommy: Look, M, the egg is cracking!
M: Ooohhh...I can't wait for the real T-Rex to grow!
Mommy: I don't think it will be a real dinosaur.
M: ::confused face:: Why?
Mommy: Ummm, because dinosaurs don't exist anymore...and if a real T-Rex comes out of that thing, we're going to have to move.
