a pirate booty intervention...
I think E may need one. I can't pry this bag out of his hand. Snack time? Pirate booty. With lunch? Pirate booty. Breakfast? Pirate Booty...ok, that's where I draw the line.

grapes
Grapes at lunch, momma? What's that you say? This ISN'T what you're supposed to do with them?
squish!
Oh, & thanks for taking the time to cut them in half for me. It makes it much easier to SMASH them!
smashing grapes...smashing grapes...
Mommy, I'm almost out of grapes to smash...NOT to eat. Can I have more?
Please?

is it tornado season?
...because I think I've seen one with curly blond hair that leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes.
3 minutes
I'm just thankful the lids were on tight.
...but what's a little mess when it makes him this happy.

What.the.heck?
I was making my way to the bathroom at 3:00 this morning, when I noticed an interesting scene in the kitchen...
There are many, but the really scary part? We heard none of this! Now, all the "what ifs" are racing through my head. What if he fell? What if he decided to explore the cleaning supplies or the knives or the package of raw chicken in the refrigerator? Suffice it to say, I didn't sleep too well for the rest of the night.
I was as equally horrified as I was proud of his growing independence, but since I can't lock him in his room, I suppose the baby monitor will be coming back out.
I was making my way to the bathroom at 3:00 this morning, when I noticed an interesting scene in the kitchen...
- A chair was placed in front of the now open cabinet that houses the glasses.
- The once full Brita was now only half full and sitting on the floor in a puddle.
- An unopened pudding cup sat on the kitchen table.

The latest funnies.
Daddy: Are you (fill in blank)?
Morgan: No, I'm not (fill in blank)...I'm Morgan!
The funny part is that you can fill in the blank with ANYTHING. Are you cold?...Lightning McQueen?...a good boy?... "No, I'm not a good boy, I'm Morgan!"
Daddy has also been working on teaching Morgan "Hot Cross Buns" on the xylophone.

News of the day...
"Ma-gan do it!" That is a well used phrase around here these days. We have reached an independent stage. Sadly, patience is not one of his greatest qualities yet, so M's endeavors end up in extreme frustration some of the time. We'll work through it.
Singing is a new favorite past time. M sings most of the time. He sings for fun, he sings in his crib, he sings when he's simply trying to communicate with us. "Mommy - more milk, peas?" has a melody. It's adorable.
Winnie the Pooh is M's current favorite character. He loves the books and probably asks to watch the movie at least 3 times a day. Luckily, he isn't disappointed when I say, "Not right now." We do watch it on occasion, but the books keep his attention as well. He knows all the characters, what they say and the songs they sing. "Oh, stuff and fluff."
When M gets to watch TV, he prefers this position to his comfortable chair. OK?
