The day after Christmas, we all showed up at Grandma's. I made a huge pot of Grandma Dora's vegetable soup and everyone else pitched in to make this a special afternoon for a truly special lady.

Surprise!
Gigi turned 80 last week and we just couldn't let a milestone of that magnitude go without celebration. It was decided that a typical party would not do so a surprise party was planned. If you know my Grandma at all, you know the theme was Indianapolis Colts. ...hence the shirts...
I must say, this was a wonderful success. Grandma felt and looked great and had a really fun time. She was truly surprised and just couldn't believe she didn't figure it out! Grandmas are supposed to know everything, you know.
We love you so much, Gigi. We eagerly await the big one in 20 years with pizza and wine coolers.
