It wasn't too long ago, that Link finally realized the two noise makers that live here were also 4 more hands that can pet and love on him. He's started sneaking onto the couch for cuddles here and there...finding the perfect spot for maximum petting...purring ensued.

Evanston is servicing the sewer lines, and by that I mean, replacing them. They are making their way down the block and are currently in front of our building. These holes are around 20 feet deep! It is definitely an impressive project. Morgan watches all this out the front window..."big truck!" I can hardly get him to come to breakfast in the mornings.

Inconvenient for us...

Our little entertainer...bring your earplugs because playing the xylophone with drum sticks is ear piercing and LOUD! Link stuck around even after all the love Morgan gave to him. Yes, his tail is "pinned" down with a block...what a weirdo.

The thermometer is supposed to hit 70 tomorrow, so we're taking a trip to the Zoo with some friends. After that, we're leaving for a 6 day vacation in North Carolina to visit Grandma B! I'll post pictures when we get back. Here are a couple to tide you over...

she's a cutie catty...but a little fatty...her name is Patti

Last night around 9:30 I asked Andrew, "Have you seen Patti today?" Unfortunately, he said , "No." Patti is a real scared-y cat so we figured she was just hiding because we had a full house over the weekend. Nevertheless, we started looking EVERYWHERE, inside then out. Long story short - after 3 hours, trips up and down the street, falls on the ice, emails sent and tears shed, Patti found us when we shook around a bowl of food by the front door. She was hiding in the "stroller parking lot" at the bottom of the shared stairs in our building. This even after we had looked there at least 6 times. She found a great hiding place and gave us a real scare! She was punished with lots of snuggling and cuddling.

Playtime!

We hosted a Valentine's Day playgroup last Friday. Three mommies and their munchkins came over for playtime and snacks. It was so much fun. The moms liked being able to have an adult conversation and the kids loved running down the long hallway and looking out the windows. We'll be making a habit of this for sure.
