friday night football
Gramps goes to all the Evanston Township HS football games, and now that M is old enough, he gets to go too. Last Friday was our first trip out to watch.
Oh, did I forget to mention that Gramps watches the games from the sidelines? He does, and now, so does M. Can you find them out there? Upper right...orange sweatshirt...Gramps is holding him...
They walked up and down the field, following the ball and M had the time of his life! At one point, the team ran it in for a touchdown right in front of them. I only wish I could have seen M's face with all that excitement going on around him. M stayed close and at one point, they both sat down for a little rest, but not for long! I sat in the stands waiting on M to get tired/bored so I could retrieve him and honestly, I thought he would last...20 minutes or so. He stayed out there until halftime and I think the only reason he came back to me was because he needed to potty. By that time though, E had had enough and it was well past bedtime.
I did manage to snap a couple shots of M and his best friend, Pie before we left.
Anyway, M has been practicing football by bending down, calling out some numbers and running like the wind until he falls down and yells "touchdown!" since Friday. He also requested a football like the Wildkits use promptly after the game. Mommy couldn't help but oblige.
