Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

In honor of one of M's favorite authors...LET'S PLAY!

 ...fuzzy fur feet...

Obviously, I grossly under estimated the size of M's head...oops.

We took our version of oobleck to playgroup so everyone could join in...if they could stand the "mess" on their hands.  (2 out of 3 isn't bad)

 gooey!

Day 8

I lost most of M's attention after the snowmen, so I ended up finishing the wreaths. Eh...oh well...

Time to Create

M got lots of greatly needed art supplies for his birthday, so today, we put them to work. Watercolors were our medium of choice.

Sshhhh...the artist is at work.

Water, paint, paper!!

What really surprised me was seeing how wonderful his pieces turned out. As you would expect, he has no design plan...he just paints. His goal was seemingly to cover every square inch of the paper. When the paper dried, it was beautiful. I can't say the same for the well planned pieces of my own. Ahhh...the teacher becomes the student today!

Oh, now he wears the hat.

A Budding Artist?

Despite the torrential rain, we went to our first art class today. To say Morgan loved it would be an understatement. He "bathed" in the paint and really got into the tactile nature of all the art supplies (stamps, foil, shaving cream). It was nice to go to this because I haven't really got a lot of art supplies lying around the house. I didn't really know where to begin. Now I know how the man likes to "create"...

His first masterpiece. "Di-yip, DOT"!

Hands were the subject today.
We traced, stamped, painted and smeared our way through an hour of class. It was great!

We were all a mess, but it couldn't have been more fun. Afterwards, we had a little play time in the gym.

hmmmm...what should I do with this thing?

OH YEAH!

Budding Ar-tist

We got a new toy today. Morgan is loving it.

That's right, he predominately uses his left hand.
Or should I say, that's correct.
