Surprise!

 
Gigi turned 80 last week and we just couldn't let a milestone of that magnitude go without celebration.  It was decided that a typical party would not do so a surprise party was planned.  If you know my Grandma at all, you know the theme was Indianapolis Colts.  ...hence the shirts...

I must say, this was a wonderful success.  Grandma felt and looked great and had a really fun time.  She was truly surprised and just couldn't believe she didn't figure it out! Grandmas are supposed to know everything, you know.

We love you so much, Gigi.  We eagerly await the big one in 20 years with pizza and wine coolers.

A quick project. 

What do you do when you need Indianapolis Colts gear for both your kids, in the off season?  Just make it with freezer paper, and fabric paint!  I got these done during afternoon nap yesterday.  Easy.as.pie.

I'm loving freezer paper stencils and will definitely be using this technique again.  I found this quick and easy tutorial on How About Orange.

You might be asking yourself, "But, what could be going on that would require this kind of clothing?"  I can assure you that question will be answered early next week.

Considering the Colts were gunning for the AFC Championship today, we thought this was appropriate.

Some of the game was uncomfortably close...

...some of it was shocking...

...some made us just plain mad...

...but in the end, we won.
