a mother's day "surprise"
I had heard rumors that there was going to be a surprise for me at school the Friday before Mother's Day. I needed to take M to school..."and don't eat breakfast!"
We were greeted with a lovely breakfast, a custom place mat and artwork I will keep forever.
That's me, telling M he is "werd", while he says "Hello little chita, woo hoo!" Oh, & the chita is peeing. No wonder I'm telling him he's werd.

happy mother's day!
On Friday, the mailman delivered a mother's necklace with my boy's names on it. It is beautiful and perfect and I haven't taken it off since... Thank you so much, mom.
Last night, I was surprised by all those kitchen shenanigans with a a box of my favorite lemon cookies...lovingly prepared and so delicious there was no time for pictures. Less than 24 hours later, they were gone.
This morning I walked out of the bedroom to a lovely and dramatic presentation of my mother's day gift along with cards and lots of hugs and kisses...perfect.
The afternoon brought a huge Mother's Day picnic with all the local mothers in our lives.

Immy & M. THESE two climbed on top of the table and got creative. Immy is modeling and M is catching the "perfect wave!" Trouble with a capital "T" when these two get together...
My Mother's Day was spectacular and so so special. I love my kids & I love my family. & while I sometimes might feel like I'm losing my mind, I'm always grateful for what they bring to my days and my life.

my mother's day
We were lucky enough to have our own momma's here with us this year too. We exchanged some small gifts, and had a lovely brunch. Pair all that up with nice weather...I'll take it!
No Mother's Day would be complete without the picture, right? Well, here's the path ours took...kinda funny.
